Description
Our first ever offering of the Italian varietal called Nero D’Avola which is a primary varietal in Southern Italy and Sicily. Given El Dorado County’s high elevation and volcanic soils and similar Mediterranean-like climate, Nero D’Avola thrives in the area. Expect intense notes of Black Cherry and ripe plum with hints of black licorice. This wine is medium to full bodied in structure with firm tannins. Note, we named this wine Il Ricordo as it roughly translates to “In Memory” in Italian. It was to honor those who have passed before us.
